My mom and I had a conversation about K-Pop and Korea.

She knows more now. She knows 2PM, Miss A, Suzy, CNBlue and SNSD. She was asking me why everyone likes YoonA. I told her that Korea thinks she’s the prettiest. She’s like not even. “Kim Tae Hee is prettier.” She’s obsessing over Lee Seung Gi too. lmao. And then she was like who are the most popular guy groups?… I was like 2PM, Big Bang… And she was like who’s Big Bang?!… And then I was like How can you not know Big Bang, mom?! But then I guess it’s pretty understandable, since her source of korean knowledge is through dramas and Big Bang doesn’t really do much of that stuff. And then she’s like is 2NE1 still popular? And I was like yeah.

Bonding with my mom through Korean stuff is actually kinda weird. Never thought she’d get into Hallyu shits. (She asked me what Hallyu meant) Looool.

Now all I hear is, “Find me this movie online” “Can you find me this drama?”

My mom likes CL.

I got my mom into watching 2NE1 performances, especiall the MTViggy one. Because she always makes fun of me… listening to 2NE1. And I was showing her how I’m not the only crazy one… that listens to music I don’t understand. She knows Sandara already from before. She thinks she’s too skinny compared to the other girls lol. She loves CL. She’s like “she’s cute… her moves are great… And she’s pretty.” This is interesting considering the fact that after showing her that MAMA performance… she thought she was creepy looking… She took it back and said she just oozed charisma and her facial expressions are perfect. She said Minzy dances good. She didn’t say much about Bom.
